Salman Khan is in no mood to see “New York”, even though girlfriend and lead actress of the film Katrina Kaif is trying desperately to convince him to watch the film.

Katrina’s performance in the movie has been well appreciated and hence she is keen Sallu sees her latest film. But Salman is said to have flatly refused.

According to close sources from Katrina’s end, the actress is hurt by Salman’s policy of ignoring all her films, even though she makes it a point to watch all his movies and even attend his premieres and special screenings.

Salman does watch movies in general but when it comes to watching Katrina’s films he refuses to see them.

If sources close to Salman are to be believed, Salman does not like his girlfriend’s physical proximity with co-stars. He is very possessive about her and can’t see her with someone else, even on screen.

In fact, it’s said that he does not even like Katrina wearing any revealing clothes in real life. And if he sees her wearing something he doesn’t approve of, he asks her to change.

Salman Khan donates saris to poor women working in Film City

Recently on his show 10 Ka Dum, Salman Khan said, "mujhe sari pehenna nahin aata hai, sirf nikalna aata hai. But he recently bought saris for group of women.

The actor, who is known for his generosity, was approached by some sweeper women during the shooting of Wanted and they asked him to buy saris for all the women working there!

Says a source present on the sets, "Salmanbhai was sitting in front of his van chatting with friends at Film City when a couple of sweeper women came up to him and started talking to him. They started demanding new saris from him. He joked and said it wasn't Diwali or Eid so there was no reason for him to buy saris for them. But they started crying and pleading with him."

The actor then asked the group how many women were working in Film City. They said, about 35. He called his spot boy, gave him a wad of cash from his pocket and asked him to take his car and go out and buy saris for all the women. His boy came back with bundle of saris and distributed them to the thrilled women."

Boney Kapoor, the producer of Wanted, admits, "Yes it's true, Salman bought new saris for all the women working in Film City. He asked his Man Friday to buy them and then distributed it to the women who had collected there.

Apparently, he had given saris to some women earlier. This time they asked him to gift them. I was there when this happened. Earlier, he bought cycles for 15 children belonging to the workers in Film City, when they asked him to."

Boney says Salman always spends money on the needy. He recalls, "Once while shooting at Bandra Fort (where he has spent his childhood), I saw him giving away thousands of rupees to some men whom he must have interacted with, while growing up. They had fallen on bad times and approached him for help.

He spent time enquiring about their children. In Hyderabad too, when some poor children met him during Diwali he bought fireworks and distributed it among them. The children were so happy it brought tears to all our eyes," concludes Kapoor emotionally.

Sonakshi Sinha finally says Yes to Salman Khan

Will she, won’t she? Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi was offered a role by Salman in a film to be produced by Arbaaz Khan. But Sonakshi, apparently in two minds about a film career, decided not to do it. She had studied fashion designing and that’s what she wanted to pursue as a career. The girl hadn’t bargained for Salman’s persuasive powers. Apparently he kept asking Sonakshi and her parents (who are very fond of Salman) until they finally relented. And now Sonakshi has finally said yes to the untitled film which begins shooting in a couple of months. Says a source very close to the project, “Salman saw Sonakshi at the Fashion Week and told her to lose 10 kgs. Sonakshi decided to lose 30 kgs. And not by starving herself. She maintained a balanced diet, went to the gym regularly and embarked into water sports. Within no time she was stunningly slim.” That’s when Salman got doubly persuasive and that’s when Sonakshi relented. The film will be directed for Arbaaz Khan Productions by Anurag’s brother Abhinav Kashyap. This would be Arbaaz’s first production. Apparently the director went to Arbaaz to sign him an as an actor. Arbaaz offered to produce it. Says the proud father Shatrughan Sinha, “Acting was never on the cards for Sonakshi. But I remember as a child she was very cute and I had promised she would do an ad. This is perhaps a fulfillment of that promise. As long as she doesn’t compromise the dignity of our family I’ve no objections to her doing films.”

Salman is not my boyfriend: Claudia Ciesla

German supermodel-turned-actress Claudia Ciesla, who is considering a Bollywood career, has rubbished rumours that she is dating Indian superstar Salman Khan and insists that Katrina Kaif is his girlfriend. "Salman and I are just good friends. He is not my boyfriend, as has been reported here. Everyone knows that it's Katrina Kaif who is his girlfriend and not me. I haven't even been that long in India to start controversies, " Claudia, 22, told in an interview. She was in the capital to promote her film "Karma: Crime, Passion, Reincarnation". "Everything (rumours) started when I was in Europe. I couldn't even keep track of it because I was busy over there. But now I hope everything is clear... even Salman had clarified everything in interviews and I am doing the same, " she added. A leading daily here had reported that the model was the actor's new muse and reason behind the Salman-Katrina split. The occasional singer, who has already cut two albums, also conceded that she understands "it all happens when you are in showbiz". She says rumour mills started working overtime after Salman invited her to his place. "The only thing was that he invited me to meet his family. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor biggest collector of Salman Khan's paintings

Now Salman's Khan best buddy producer Sajid Nadiadwala will get jealous! Salman has gifted his Wanted producer Boney Kapoor two more paintings for his Lokhandwala flat. Salman had already given one of his paintings to Sridevi for her bungalow in Chennai. Nadiadwala has just one painting by Salman in his office.

A source reveals, "Salman is close to Boney and his son Arjun (who was dating his sister Arpita). There have been numerous occasions when Arjun has watched Salman paint and has told him to take it up seriously.

Katrina's advice to Claudia

Claudia Ciesla, the German model with the 38-DD cleavage and leading lady of Karma — Crime Passion and Reincarnation, is not really “Salman Khan’s blue-eyed girl”.

BT learns there is no truth to the Claudia-Salman proximity theory.
The German model met the Bollywood hunk through a common friend at his home in Galaxy Apartments, Bandra. Present at the meeting was also Katrina Kaif, because Salman had asked her to be present when Claudia arrived and make her feel comfortable and at home.

An insider reveals, “Salman introduced Claudia to his family and then Katrina. No one till then had even noticed Katrina because she was in track pants, her face shorn of makeup, and she looked like a pretty girl who was part of the actor’s immediate family.”

Once pleasantries were exchanged, Katrina took charge and gave Claudia (who is alone in Mumbai) advice on how to go about making her career in Bollywood. “I understood her predicament of being an outsider in Bollywood. Salman Khan buys a yacht along with his brothers

Don't be surprised if you see the Khan brothers Salman, Sohail and Arbaaz partying on a private yacht in Alibaug. Sources reveal that Salman has bought a yacht, and it is parked at a private stretch of the beach in Alibaug.

A source reveals, "Sohail came up with the idea of buying a yacht because he loves the ocean and swimming. Salman and Arbaaz supported him and decided they get one. The yacht is a medium- sized model that can host a small party of 10 people. Salman and Sohail were spotted partying on it a month back with a bunch of kids from their family."

A friend close to the family confirms that the yacht is the family's prized possession and they often use it to get away from the city. "Since Salman doesn't want to be seen travelling in it, he has parked it at a secluded spot in Alibaug. The actor has also deputed two people who are responsible for maintaining the yacht."

Even though details of the yacht's make are sketchy the source confirms the price tag is anything between Rs 2.5-3 crore."

Salman defends Rakhi Sawant on ‘10 Ka Dum’

Salman Khan enjoys gossiping on his TV show ‘10 Ka Dum’.

Apart from the questions pertaining to the show, the contestants have to face Salman and his personal questions too! And, his questions are sometimes so personal and direct that the contestants are left aghast.

One such incident has been reported from the sets of ‘10 Ka Dum’.

Daler Mehendi and his brother Mika were invited on the show and one of the questions put to them was: How many people think Rakhi Sawant can be a good wife?

Mika, who has an ugly history with Rakhi, passed rude comments and made faces. But Salman, who is known stand up for women, bluntly told Mika not to make fun of her. He also said Rakhi has worked very hard to reach this level and that he has tremendous respect for her.

Though Mika agreed, he added that Rakhi gained popularity only because of him. To which Salman said that it is only her hard work which led her to success.

Finally, when Mika said that Rakhi is his friend, Salman laughed off his comment by saying that Mika is the biggest liar.

Katrina-Salman problem grows

Katrina Kaif is going through a rough patch, personally. After a tabloid revealed recently that her phone bill was full of John Abraham’s number, things have not been easy for Kat.

To begin with, boyfriend Salman Khan threw a fit and also reportedly threw her things out of his house, giving momentum to reports about their split.

Katrina first denied having any relationship with John, whom she’s co-starring with in the film “New York”, and then admitted that he’s just a friend with whom she exchanges SMSes.

While the truth has still to surface, Salman Khan’s stance seems apparent - he certainly is in no mood to forgive Kat.

On Saturday (May 30) Salman hosted a bash at his residence for the crew of his TV show ‘10 Ka Dum’. The guests and Salman’s family together watched the first episode of the game show, which went on air the same night.

Notably missing at the party was Katrina, even though she was in Mumbai. It's clear Salman had deliberately snubbed her.

On another note, apparently, Katrina has been invited to feature on ‘10 Ka Dum’. But she requires a partner for the same. However, there is little possibility that John, Abhishek or Shah Rukh will accompany her, as Salman has a problem with all three.

Among the actresses, Katrina has no friends in the industry starting from Priyanka to Bipasha. The only person Kat could have taken is Kareena, but she has already appeared on the show with sister Karisma.

So who will Katrina take to the show? Or, is Sallu not interested in having her on the show as well?

Now the buzz in the market is that Claudia is going to appear on Salman’s TV show "10 Ka Dum" soon.

Flynn Remedios, Claudia’s spokesperson, has denied this news.

Katrina Kaif's bonding with Salman's foe, John Abraham

When they shot for New York, Katrina Kaif and John Abraham kept their distance from each other because of her beau Salman Khan's dushmani with her co-star. But when the recently-separated-from-Sallu Kat shot with Johnny Boy for a music video a few weeks back, the pair bonded.

B-Town is abuzz with rumours of this new dosti between Sallu's ex and his foe.

Sceptics might question the timing of these rumours as the film is ready for release and pass it off as nothing more than a publicity gimmick. But Salman Khan's camp insists that the actor has proof that his arch enemy and his ex are in touch with each other. Khan is known to keep tabs on his ex-girlfriends.

And he is doing the same with Kat. Reveals a source close to the actor, "Salmanbhai got hold of Kat's mobile bill and saw many calls and SMSes made and received between John and her." One explanation could be that the pair is in touch as the film is ready for release but you can't argue with a jealous boyfriend (ex or otherwise).

Salman is said to be furious at Kat's alliance with the man he considers an enemy. Katrina is now running scared. Even though she is no longer with him, she needs Sallu professionally. Although she has been telling people that she is no longer his girlfriend, she cannot afford to rub him the wrong way and expect to survive in the film industry.

The source continues, "Everyone in the industry is talking about this changed equation between Kat and John. There will surely be repercussions to this new development." Salman is known to be territorial about his gals, years after they've gone of his life. So the big question is: What happens next?

While Katrina and John remained unavailable for comment, a friend of Abraham rubbishes these rumours, "There is nothing going on between him and Katrina. He is just being targeted by someone. The truth will come out soon."

Salman mania hits runaway boys

Runaway teens reach Mumbai from Shimla to meet their idol, Salman Khan. Instead of the actor, who wasn't at home, the boys meet two more heroes in a city overrun by villains

Here's a story that will restore your faith in this city.

Two star-struck teens from Shimla hit Mumbai to meet their hero, Salman Khan. Like so many other stories, this one too could have ended up in tragedy, but for two unusual people the boys ran into a passenger on the train to Mumbai and a cop.

There are few heroes who inspire as much love and craze as Salman Khan. Ask Rahul Kanojia (16) and Dinesh Gupta (14). The two teenagers from Shimla ran away from home and boarded a train to Mumbai only to meet their idol. Fortunately, the police managed to trace them before the minors fell in the wrong hands, thanks to a Good Samaritan.

In their police statement, the boys said that on Sunday, they took a bus from Shimla to Ambala, from where they bought tickets and boarded the Golden Temple Express to Mumbai. They had Rs 15,000 with them, which Dinesh had taken from his uncle's pocket, along with two debit cards.

In the train, they met one Rishu Jarat of Ludhiana, who took them to a relative's saloon in Parel when they arrived at Dadar station on Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, their worried parents had registered a missing complaint at a Shimla police station. While Rahul is in Std IX at Shimla Model School, Dinesh studies in Std VII at Ahuja Education Centre.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Shimla) Anand Kumar Dhiman told MiD DAY, "On Wednesday, the boys contacted their parents from an unknown mobile number saying they were at Delhi railway station and that they were safe. The boys also made their parents speak to a stranger who identified himself as Rishu Jarat. However, the mobile tower showed the location of the mobile phone somewhere in Maharashtra. Rishu had also provided a landline number to their parents, which was traced to a saloon in Parel."

Abduction

At first Dhiman thought it was a case of abduction. He contacted the Mumbai Zonal DCP Sanjay Bhaviskar, who directed the Bhoiwada police station to trace the boys, who were found at the same saloon. "The timely act of the young boy Rishu has prevented the boys from falling into the wrong hands," said Bhaviskar.

When the boys told Bhaviskar about their desire to meet Salman, he was moved. So, yesterday, the cops took the boys to Galaxy Apartments on Bandstand, Bandra, where Salman lives. Unfortunately, the actor was not at home, but the cops took them to Bandra Fort and St Andrews High School, where an ad shoot was on. "Even though they couldn't meet Salman, the kids were happy that they got a chance to see the shooting," said senior PI Prakash George of Bandra police station.

The excited young boys told MiD DAY, "We enjoyed the film shoot and are happy we came to Mumbai. We promise not to run away from home again." The boys are currently with Bhoiwada police and will be handed over to their parents who are expected to reach Mumbai today. While Dinesh's father is an agent in a vegetable market, Rahul's father runs a garment shop.

Salman Khan’s ‘special’ friend and Hollywood actress Claudia Ciesla is livid. And very rightly so! The Indian media has incorrectly ‘termed’ her a nude and a topless model. In an exclusive interview to a reporter, Claudia poured her heart out: “I had done just one shoot 4 years ago and that too for a very prestigious international publication. That was at the beginning of my career, and while I won’t say it was a mistake; I may add in hindsight that it was an indiscretion.” Expressing her anger, disgust and disappointment at being incorrectly termed a nude or topless model, Claudia while referring to certain reports in the Indian media said, “Unfortunately they never checked. They wrote what they read or just presumed things. Golden Decade Honours to be given at IIFA 2009

In its tenth year, the IIFA Academy has decided to institute a special set of awards to commemorate the last decade of Indian Cinema. It has put together nominations in five major categories for The Videocon IIFA Golden Decade Honours, which will be announced at the IDEA IIFA Awards on June 13 in Macau. The five categories are: Star of the Decade – Male, Star of the Decade – Female, Movie of the Decade, Director of the Decade and Music of the Decade.

The nominations are as follows:

Star of the decade – Male: Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan.
