You'd think I'd be writing about cabin fever, but alas, no. In fact, I've been home to Powell River for a week now and haven't made it up the lake. Why? I'm down with the flu, or at least that's what I think it is.
We arrived on Monday last. Promptly, both Wayne and I started coughing. By morning, we knew that something wasn't quite right. Pretty amazing, we both came down with "it" at exactly the same moment. Because Mom's with us, I opted to stay in the condo and Wayne went up the lake alone. Poor baby!
On Tuesday, I had to go to the market to get food to stock the condo. I tried to stay away from people and covered my coughs. I still felt like Typhoid Mary, but it couldn't be helped. Then on Thursday, Mom came down with exactly the same thing.
Now the two of us are sitting tight inside our condo's four walls. I'm starting to get better, now all I have to do is wait for Mom to get through the next week. At least we have a great view of the Strait of Georgia and the storms moving through. Meanwhile, Wayne is holding down the fort at the cabin. Lucky duck. (That's an inside joke. We surmise we caught the flu at the USC vs Oregon "Ducks" game.) - Margy
